  • Found initially both vents would blow cold. after letting vehicle run in the shop for a 15 minutes passenger side would eventually go hot. At this time, there is a difference in air flow from the drivers side and passenger side. When drivers side is controlled to hot found an even amount of air flow from drivers side and passenger side. This is considered normal when controls are set to hot. There is not an HVAC control module available to scan and monitor data however a code B1236 (passenger side air mix control circuit open) is present in multiple modules. Gained access to passenger side air mix actuator and once I gained access the actuator would not act up. Began wiggling wires to actuator and it would continue to operate. Check connection to actuator and it looks ok. Most likely the passenger side air mix actuator is failing and goes to full hot mode as a default.
  • HVAC BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR – Remove & Replace – Passenger Side

  • Inspected customer concern by verifying coolant level. Found low coolant in radiator, filled vehicle up and found a leak from the upper radiator hose. it has popped off due to a broken hose clamp. reconnected hose and filled/bled cooling system and performed block test. while vehicle was running it did not overheat or push coolant out. indicating head gaskets are good. repaired leak by installing a new clamp and test drove vehicle to verify no more overheating. vehicle is all good at this time now.

  • test drove vehicle, loud grinding noise can be heard. hoisted vehicle and inspected for noise found driver rear wheel bearing to be severely loose along with codes for driver rear wheel speed sensor circuit. due to the looseness of the bearing it is causing there to be a very large air gap creating a loss of wheel speed for that wheel. recommended replacing driver rear wheel bearing to repair issue.
  • verified inop air conditioning. tested all blower functions all check good at this time, along with power and ground going to the ac compressor. monitored pressures found when compressor engages low side pressure goes down too low indicating low on charge, recommended an evac and recharge with dye.
  • WHEEL BEARING – Remove & Replace – Rear,Driver Side
